OK, motherfuckers, we are going to a bullfight. October 16th. Mark your calendars. Meet at the warehouse at 10:00.
$40+ for the bus trip, entrance to bullfight and food is all on you.
There is a town south of Sacramento where there is an arena. In this area, boys become men. While we watch. It’s part of the Portuguese coming of age that you must fight a bull. This tradition is age old. Then, Sally Struthers and some animal rights Bob Barker types claimed that a fair fight with a bull is cruel, so now you can only kill a bull in a slaughterhouse. Ya can’t win ‘em all. So they use Velcro spears. It’s faked. But not for the bull. They bull can still trample, mutilate, gore and sodimize the boy who wants to be a man. And that’s why we are going to go!!!! Put a ruffie in the kids Pepsi and that’ll change the show quite a bit…
Seriously, it’s an amazing thing to watch. It’s a beautiful dance they do, boy and bull. With the audience full of proud parents and young ladies throwing roses. It’s an experience you want to have. It’s all for show, sure. But it’s also very real.
Come be inspired by a true cultural tradition. Come to a place that is only 80 miles away and yet a world away. Come on the bus, where everyone laughs all day long. Come on a zone trip to another reality. Come with your excellent ambassadorship and your tolerance and your good humor. But come to the Bullfights on the 16th of October. Buy your ticket now, it will sell out. Generous donations over $40 accepted. Buses are expensive.

This email lists is that of Showman Chicken John of San Francisco. You can keep up with his shenanigans and shows by being on this list. He also sends out some personal writing and such. He posts a few times a week at most. You sound much more important when you speak about yourself in the 3rd person. At least I do when I talk about me as 'him'.
